Description
Summary:The Nurul Kalam Great Mosque is a mosque located in Pemalang Recency, Central Java Province. The mosque still has a limited capacity that is not able to accomodate Moslem prayers in peak hours. Therefore, the Pemalang Regency Government planned to build a new mosque with bigger capacity. The structural design of this mosque consists of 3 (three) stages: designing the dome, the main structure, and the basement. The dome is planned to be made of steel. The dome is arranged as plan trusses that are connected by purlins. Main structure and basement are planned to be reinforced concrete. The objectives of this thesis are to determine the design loads, to determine structural system to resist the earthquake load, to analyse structural performance resulting from the assigned loads, and also to design the reinforcement and steel connection requirements for the structural elements of The Nurul Kalam Great Mosque. The design steps that are performed referred to Indonesia national standards. The main software used for modelling the structure is Tekla Structural Designer 2018.
