Description
Summary:In sustainable textile or fashion industry, there is a need to understand ther transformation from linear cycle to a circular cycle to diverting textiles from disposal back into the system. Material can be the starting point towards textile or fashion sustainability, therefore material play an important role for understanding sustainable textile and fashion as a main commodity for designer, industry, or consumer. There are always an environmental effect in a textile or fashion making process, from raw material to disposal stage. Millions tonnes of textiles are wasted even before the clothes reached the consumer and approximately 15 percent of it end up in the cutting room. It is necesarry to make changes from the linear system to the circular system. There is a need to recycling fabric scraps into a new ready to use material. Most textiles can be recycled, but mostly they are downgraded into such as filling materials. This exploration of fabric scraps using weaving techniques aims to changes the fabric scraps into new material that ready to use as a raw material for fashion products. Keywords:
