Air facilities include runway, taxiway, and apron. Runways are runways for aircraft that are used for takeoff and landing. A taxiway is a link between the runway and the apron. Apron is a place used by aircraft for parking. The design of air side facilities is based on standards made by the Ministry of Transportation, ICAO, and FAA. The design starts with data collection which includes data on passenger movements, aircraft movement data, airport environmental conditions, and soil data. Passenger movement data will be projected throughout the next 20 years, so that air facilities designed can operate up to the year of the plan. Next, air side design is carried out which includes geometry, pavement, and markers from runway, taxiway, and apron. The design of the geometry is based on the largest aircraft that can be received so that the aircraft can operate under conditions of full load well. The pavement design was carried out using FAARFIELD software to determine the thickness and material needed for rigid and flexible pavements. The design of this pavement was based on repetitive aircraft loads and soil conditions in the airport environment. The design of markers is based on predetermined standards so that they can improve the safety of the aircraft in operation. Analysis of the projected movement of the year the plan to change the Airport Reference Code from 4E to 4F with the largest aircraft is Airbus 380-800. After evaluation for the planned year, a minimum of 4 runways is needed with the addition of runway 3 in 2029 and runway 4 in 2038. Runway 3 and 4 have a length of 3000 meters. On runway 1, an additional length of 300 meters is required. The taxiway needs an additional width of 2 meters and the amount due to the addition of runways and aprons. The apron evaluation is done by adding a new apron and a minimum of 9 new gates. The whole pavement section is replaced by a new pavement in order to be able to accommodate the traffic in the year of the plan. text |
