SEISMIC REFLETION STUDY IN VOLCANIC AREA WITH VIBROSIS AS A SEISMIC SOURCE

In conditions such as in the Majalengka region, volcanic rocks have been found at a depth of 4 meters, so that dynamite or vibration sources that are detonated cannot penetrate volcanic rocks and do not produce good seismic data. Therefore, an alternative source of seismic is needed which can map the volcanic area better than dynamite. Research into seismic acquisition in volcanic areas is important, because in some volcanic areas oil and gas seepage appears. In this study, an alternative source of seismic is vibroseis was used, it is hoped that using this source can produce better quality seismic data. Vibroseis can be an alternative source of seismic besides dynamite because the type of frequency produced can be adjusted according to the results of the existing parameter tests. Parameter tests will be carried out with various variations such as the number of recipient groups, frequency variations, variations in down force vibroseis and the number of vibroseis used. With the comparison of data from the results of the test parameters, the best parameters for the acquisition process will be obtained on the specified path. From the results of the various parameters of the test, it will be maximized to be used as a reference when dealing with the same rock characteristics as those in the research area. The results showed that seismic data with vibroseis sources in volcanic rock areas can detect up to a depth of 1 second reflection with better continuity and resolution. To get deeper reflection seismic data, greater vibrosis energy is needed, this is due to volcanic rocks that are absorb to seismic waves. text
