Therefore, infrastructure is needed to support sea, river, lake, and crossover transportation as a main connector between islands in Indonesia, or between Indonesia and other countries. These connectivity is very important especially for transporting export and import commodities which has a strategic role to support trade, ecomonic, and industrial development. Port is the main infrastructure to create these connectivity where in 2014, there were 2,392 ports in Indonesia with 11 commercial ports were located in Aceh. Provinsi Aceh is a part of Koridor Ekonomi Sumatera in Percepatan dan Perluasan Pembangunan Ekonomi Indonesia (MP3EI) Masterplan 2011-2025, but the majority of its export commodities from plantation and agriculture sector were exported through Belawan Port in Sumatera Utara because most of public ports in Aceh hadn’t fulfill the standards. Depends on those considerations, the construction of Malahayati Port as a public port which is located in Kecamatan Mesjid Raya, Kabupaten Aceh Besar, Provinsi Aceh to handle both domestic and international general cargo and container transportation is planned. In this final bachelor thesis, the shore and offshore facilities for general cargo and container terminal in Malahayati Port will be analyzed based on general cargo and container traffic which will be handled by the port, and environmental condition. The environmental condition itself consisted of direction and current speed, and also main direction of wave and wave height based on hydrodynamics modelling using Delft3D software. The wave modelling will be done in observation area before and after the breakwater structure is built. Then, several layout alternatives of the port can be determined. The layout alternatives will consist of breakwater layout and berth orientation alternatives for then the best port layout can be chosen based on environmental factor, accessability of navigation channel, and also cost and work volume factor using scoring matrix. The environmental factor that will be scored is the wave height in the basin after the breakwater structure is built, the accessability of navigation channel will be scored by whether there is a turnover or not, while the cost and work volume factor will be scored based on the cost needed to build the trestle and the work volume of breakwater structure. text |
