Non the less, in energy issue which are developing, women as general are subordinately involved in energy related discussion (IESR, 2018). Even though the role of women in energy provision are fundamental seeing the benefit s obtained by women in energy usage are greater than men. Based on Sumba Iconic Island development roadmap, there are differences between men and women of Sumba as if in Kamanggih Village. Kamanggih Village is the pilot of renewable energy that succeeded in East Sumba. The rise of renewable energy in that village carries an impact that benefits the society neither men nor women. In other case, yet differences found regarding gender condition in villages especially treatment and opportunity between men and women specifically. The treatment and opportunity difference happen on renewable energy utilization. Women as a huge recipient actor of renewable energy benefits frequently ignored in energy planning especially renewable energy planning. This research aims to identify the impact renewable energy development against gender role in socio-economy activity. This research implements qualitative research method with case study which is used to explain case comprehensively with coding technique and gender concept. In order to witness the impact of renewable energy development, the gender role differences before and after the presence of renewable energy development are needed. Information regarding the impact of renewable energy development in gender role mentioned are known from the related stakeholder interview result and secondary data. text
