Commodities in this specialized terminal are dry bulk and general cargo. This specialized terminal requires a warehouse structure that will function as an office and general cargo storage and wharf structure as a place to anchor ships. The design of the warehouse is dominated by steel, but at several points of the column, a composite cross-section is used to increase structural stiffness and consider the slenderness requirements of the column. This warehouse structure is optimized to achieve a structure with optimal costs but still considers the strength and requirements of earthquake resistant structures. The cross-section of the rafter was optimized so that the castellated cross section was selected. This warehouse is modeling on SAP applications but the strength and analysis of earthquake resistant structures rechecked manually. The design of a wharf structure’s material is dominated by concrete. Pier used in this design is a PC spun pile fabrication. The load on this structure also takes into account the mooring load and berthing load caused by the ship anchored on the wharf structure, and the design is based on the largest ship planned at this port, which is 8000 DWT vessel. The wharf structure in the form of a portal is modeled with the SAP application but rechecked manually for the analysis of earthquake resistant structure. text |
