Summary: | Digital commercial swamedication is a device that can use to check the health profile of the user with
a few blood sample to gain health information. Nowadays, it has been many devices for cholesterol
blood measurement are marketed. The research goal is to determine the validity and reliability of
three brands of the digital commercial device and to observe the impact of sampling location to the
value of the result. Validity test was done by measuring the blood sample from capillary and peripheral
using the devices and comparing the result towards the spectrophotometry-enzymatic method. Data
obtained was then processed statistically using IBM SPSS with T-test pair. Reliability test was
performed with measuring cholesterol blood level by the digital commercial device on subjects for
seven days. It was conducted on the right hand and left hand, with the position of blood sampling on
the thumb and middle finger for each hand. Data obtained was then processed statistically using IBM

IBM SPSS with T-test pair, too. The result showed that the highest validity belonged to A, with
probability value 0.801 (not significantly different toward the laboratory instrument). Meanwhile, the
lowest valid device was brand B, with a probability value of 0.019 (significantly different). The highest
reliability of device belonged to C, with the mean value of Cronb ®í??!??í ??????????? ???? ®íð?ã ??
real, standard value 0.6). Meanwhile, the lowest reliability is in device B, with the mean value of
??????? ®í?? ??í ????-0.0932 (the most unreliable). Reliability testing on each finger showed that the
middle finger had ?í± íðãí±??? ??± ®??? ?±¸ ???í± ?í???í± íðãí±???± ??» ??????? ®í?? ??í
was owned by device C with the sampling location on the middle finger, with the value = 0.5682. Next,
all device showed both samplings in the right hand, or left hand was not significantly different. Finally,
the data set proved that most identic data was resulted by device A.
