Summary:Cardiovascular artery disease stated as the first causing death in the world, including Indonesia. Dyslipidemia is one of risk factor to cardiovascular artery disease. Drug use evaluation aims to evaluate the prescribing pattern of antidyslipidemic drugs in a health care facility to achieve rational drugs use. This study using descriptive research and concurrent-retrospective design by interviewing 92 respondent and review their medical records and prescriptions. The study results that the use of HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors has complied the guideline as the first line therapy of dyslipidemia. Simvastatin is the most prescribed drugs as 79.3%. Drug use evaluation conducted by using lipid profil parameter. Side effects that related to statin in patients are 7.6% myopati, 1.1% headache, 1.1% abdominal pain, 1.1% eczema, brown-coloured urine 10.9%. Lipid profile data is needed to calculate 10-year risk atherosclerosis cardiovascular that are available from 25 patients, then calculated based on algorithm of Management Blood Cholesterol 2018. The result shows that there are 8.0% low risk patients, 12.0% borderline risk patients, 48.0% intermediate risk patients, and 32.0% high risk patients.
