Research on utilization of the excess capacity of mice, rats, and rabbits was carried out by conducting the potential demand of animal laboratory from the university and research institutions. The data shows that the excess capacity in PT XYZ has a potential revenue Rp 1,147,500,000.00 (one billion one hundred and forty seven million five hundred thousand rupiahs) per year and the potential absorption form the university and research institutions Rp 900,774,750.00 (nine hundred million seven hundred and seventy four thousand seven hundred fifty rupiahs) or around 78.5% of excess capacity. Because of no additional investment costs needed to meet the market needs PT XYZ has the opportunity to do the business to be an Animal Resources Center. Promotions on the sale of the product can be carried out by utilizing the strengths such as the quality of laboratory animals, cGMP-based infrastructure and the experts with adequate competencies. text
