Summary:Background of this research is coming from how important the geotechnic recommendation in giving support in underground mine. Recommendations that will ensure the production so that it will provide benefits to the company. Geostatistical sciences are expanding for decades. Correlation of geotechnical and geostatistical sciences is also expanding, geotechnical recommendation can be supported by geostatistical modeling. The purpose of this research is to determine the spatial correlation of RMR and the types of rock alteration that exist. One of the estimation method is indicator kriging. This method can estimate variable that belong to categorical type . This is corresponding with the data in this study, those are RMR data and type of alteration. Data was obtained from drill core that taken 30 drills in underground gold mine at Pandeglang, Banten Province. Correlation between RMR and type of rock alteration is assessed from their proportion. The result shows that klorite, silisified, and epidote-klorite have good correlation with RMR class fair meanwhile illite has good correlation with RMR class poor.
