Rock fragmentation, which is the fragment size distribution of blasted rock, is one of the most important indices for estimeting the effectivenessof blast work. The study was conducted to formulate a new form of the Kuz-Ram model, that can be used determine the rock fragmentation resulting form blasting at PT XYZ. Kuz-Ram Method and Split Desktop V.2 method was used in this study, then the two result of the analysis were compared. The study was also conducted on the blasting geometry design method used PT XYZ, by calculating the burden and spacing values based on Anderson, R.L Ash, and Konya theories. The result of this study obtained a new form of the Kuz-Ram model is proposed in which a correction factor of 0.185 is included in the formula for prediction of . In addition, a new approach is proposed to calculate the Uniformity Index (n) in which a correction factor of 1.4496 is inclueded in the formula Uniformity Index. This new model has correlation coefficient that is greather than 0.995. the result also show that blasting geometry design method used PT XYZ refers to the Konya theory, because the result of the burden and spacing calculation using Konya theory have a relatively smaller error value. text
