INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/40394 The aim of this study is to examine changes in coastline due to sediment transport and the influence of coastal protective structures in Karangsong Beach, Indramayu. The UNIBEST-CL+ model which is a 1-dimensional coastline change model was used in this study to simulate sediment transport and coastline changes in the study area. Data used in the study are coastline data, wave climate data, and sediment characteristics data. Coastline data was obtained from Google Earth satellite images while wave climate data and sediment characteristics data were obtained from previous studies. Simulations were carried out in 2015-2045 which were then verified by the results of coastline simulations with satellite image data in the same year. The results of the study obtained simulation RMSE values in 2016 and 2017 were 1.68 m and 2.39 m so that the results were quite good. Longshore sediment transport at Karangsong Beach has a direction from north to south with the mean rate in the downdrift is 7,722 m3/year and mean rate in the updrift is 7,220 m3/year. The average coastline change that occurs in the updrift section is accretion with mean values is 30.21 m. While in the downdrift, the average erosion with mena value is 72.88 m. It was found that changes in the coastline in the downdrift were also affected by sediment supply from the Prajagumiwang River. However, the decline in the value of sediment transport and coastline changes from 2015-2045 shows the coastal process towards equilibrium. text
