The tin mineral is managed by PT. Timah Tbk, but after conducting exploration and exploitation, research needs to be done to find tin deposits from the rest of artisanal mining. The research applies the Ground-Penetrating Radar (GPR) method to identify the character of alluvial deposits to determine the remaining tin deposits. The GPR method is chosen among other geophysical methods because of its potential for effective subsurface images, both in time and cost. The research used GPR Mala RAMAC with a 100 MHz antenna in the three blocks of the northern Bangka region, the central Bangka region and the south Bangka region with a research area of 200 m2. From the results of radargram and coring log validation DH 3, 8 blocks were obtained with alluvial tin characteristic frequencies ranging from 60 MHz - 86 MHz and the tin content ranged from 0.85% - 54.44% with characteristics of bedrock granite ranging from 66 MHz - 135 MHz. In block II 5 layers were obtained with alluvial tin characteristic frequencies ranging from 60 MHz - 75 MHz and tin content ranged from 1.55% - 19.21% with characteristics of bedrock clay ranging from 30.86 MHz - 60 MHz and, in block III, 6 layers with characteristic frequencies were obtained. alluvial tin ranges from 50 MHz - 86 MHz and tin content ranges from 2.18% - 6.54% characteristics of bedrock clays ranging from 66 MHz - 200 MHz. The GPR method using characteristic frequency analysis is very suitable for identifying differences between alluvial tin and bedrock. text |
