Description
Summary:This research study of regulations on marine conservation zones is important in order to understand the development of regulations in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. Marine Conservation is a form of marine protection. In coordinating the Marine Conservation Area must also pay attention to the technical aspects and institutional aspects that play a role in it. This research was conducted to find out the legal implications, technical mapping, and the role of institutions involved in the management of marine conservation zones. The research method used is qualitative descriptive research, starting with collecting data and literature that discusses marine protection related regulations, especially with regard to marine conservation. Data was then analyzed by descriptive method. The results of the analysis show that the regulations regarding marine conservation are still fragmented, a law that specifically addresses marine conservation has not been found. The latest technical aspects are still not good enough to support the ongoing zoning of the region, there are still areas with overlapping functions, a review of the technical aspects related to zoning is highly recommended. KKP and KLHK are two institutions that have a large role in Marine Conservation, the coordination of these two institutions is considered good enough, but coordination with the community is still lacking, because there are still many who do not understand how the two institutions work.
