Description
Summary:Bandung Regency is a hinterland and a buffer zone of Bandung City. The high growth of Bandung City has led to a shift in economic activities to Bandung Regency. One of the effects of urban growth in peri-urban areas is the physical and socio-economic transformation. Based on the Regency Bandung Spatial Plan 2016-2036, there are four sub-districts in Bandung Regency has been assigned as Sustainable Food Agriculture Fields (LP2B). Its indicates that Bandung Regency has good potential for the agricultural sector. However, the peri-urban transformation can be a threat especially for the agricultural sector in Bandung Regency. Therefore, a study is needed regarding the effect of peri-urban transformation on agricultural production. The methods of data collection in this study are secondary data (statistical data and spatial data) and primary data (interviews with purposive sampling), and the analytical methods are description analysis, spatial analysis, and multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of the analysis, the physical transformation can be seen from the land use patterns, accessibility conditions, and public facilities. While the socio-economic transformation can be seen from the components of population, types of jobs, and economic structure. The transformation that occurred in Bandung Regency did not have a negative effect on the agricultural production.
