Description
Summary:Yogyakarta, Solo and Semarang, which known as Joglosemar, were three cities / regencies which became center of economy and other activities in Central Java and DIY, which were known as the “segitiga emas”. The interaction of these three cities is very high and continues to experience the development of transportation modes. Roads that pass Yogyakarta, Solo and Semarang are the main routes for the movement of people and goods. This caused infrastructure development to continue to increase in the three cities and throughout the area that connected them. Seeing the high level of interaction that exists, of course will cause changes both spatially and socio-economically. These changes need to be identified and known how the transformation of the urban corridor occurred in the Joglosemar region. Changes in the area around the urban corridor in Joglosemar have become important and should have been considered in the preparation of regional spatial plans and cooperation between regions in Central Java and DIY Provinces. Therefore a study is needed to identify the transformation of the urban corridor in Joglosemar by pay attention to the components of transportation infrastructure, economy and urbanization. Through literature studies, semi-structured interviews, and secondary data collection, descriptive analysis, content analysis, and spatial analysis were conducted. From this study found that there were changes in the nature of the region towards urbanity. In addition, it was also found that there were transformations of the urban corridor component in Joglosemar.
