Description
Summary:Lembang, that is located in Kabupaten Bandung Barat (KBB), has promising tourism potential. According to data of tourist visit by Disparbud KBB, Lembang sub-district has the most tourist attraction and number of toursit visits in KBB by accounting for 79,8% of the total tourist that visit KBB in 2018. Tourism in KBB, especially in Lembang Sub -disctrict undergo such improvement not only because of the potential in its natural and artificial site of tourism, but also because of its spatial proximity to Bandung City. The proximity to Bandung City has to be accounted for the Lembang’s development in tourism because despite being the main tourist destination itself, it also seve as starting point or place to stay before they spread to Lembang, Tangkuban Parahu, Ciwidey, and other site in West Java. The main access that link Bandung City and Lembang is Dr. Setiabudhi Street, which according to data by Dishub Kota Bandung has low Level of Service. Spatial proximity between Bandung City and Lembang has its own positive and negative impact. One of the positive repercussion is Bandung City gives multiplier effect from its own tourism development, hence attracting tourist to visit Lembang due to its spatial proximity. However, traffic congestion in Dr. Setiabudhi Street brings negative impact to tourism in Lembang, considering accessibility is one of important aspect in the development of a tourism destination. Therefore, this study aims to indetifying tourist perception to attraction, amenity, and accessibility in Lembang. Then see tourist preference in going back to Lembang while considering the congestion in Dr. Setiabudhi Road as the main access to Lembang from Bandung City. Quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis is done through literature study, questionnaire, and observation to describe tourists’ demographic characteristic, tourists’ travel pattern characteristic, tourists’ perception to attraction, amenity, and accessibility in Lembang, and tourists’ preference to going back to Lembang tourism area. A number of tourists stated that their expectation in attraction and amenity has been meet, but the accessibility at Dr. Setiabudhi Road still has not meet their expectation. Nevertheless, tourists have preference or tendency to going back to Lembang because the attraction in Lembang are deemed to be more of the priority than the road condition of Dr. Setiabudhi Road.
