Summary:The role of the tourism sector in the national economy is increasingly significant. The approach in tourism development has been wide spread to secure the fact that tourism itself will be available in tourism spot not just citys. One of the alternative are development in rural tourism with goals of building village with sustainable tourism by using local potential. Lamajang village is the best village in Bandung Regency which is considered to have succeeded in developing a rural tourism. The activity from tourism village and tourism component will interact with variety of subject that will affect the livelihood of the people by bringing impacts, both economy, social and environmental, including in Lamajang Village. The goals of village development are intersect with the effect of economy. Giving attention itself to how much of an impact the effect of economy felt by the people from development of tourism village. This research has the goal to identify the impact of rural tourism development on the economy of the community. With the research objectives begin from identify the tourism potensial, community involvement in every economic activity in the tourism sector, and the positive impacts and negative impacts of rural tourism development to the economy of community. Data analysis method that are used consist of scoring, descriptive qualitative, descriptive quantitative,, and inferencial proportion. The outcome of the research shows that the development of rural tourism in Lamajang Village is only concentrated in certain areas around tourist attraction objects or not spread throughout the village area. The tourism only affect the economy, both positive and negative impacts, of the people who participate in tourism itself not those people around it.
