Creativity has proven to be an alternative to regional development. Rural characteristics that are considered homogeneous as a prerequisite for creative development in sharing knowledge in practice are not always an obstacle. Research on rural creative economies has indeed increased significantly but there is still no framework for definite rural creative development models. The adoption of creative practices is an alternative to developing a creative economy in the countryside. However, smaller places (small cities and rural) cannot replicate the big city model of creative development. One theoretical approach to researching creative development in small places (small cities and rural) is based on endogenous resources, capacity building and competitiveness. In theory the development of capacity and creativity for competitiveness requires a system of social innovation. Innovation is an interactive process of learning that increases the competence of actors so that socio-economic value societies can be created from knowledge. Creative networking is a place for the interactive process of innovation. Creative networks are a means to create and share knowledge, which is a basic resource in creative development. Research on creative networks is still rarely found. This study explores the dynamics of social networks that develop at the center of the creative economy, especially rural in Bantul Regency. Analysis uses dynamic social network analysis with longitudinal data. Dynamic networks can provide information on network dynamics referring to the nature of network changes from time to time so that it can provide information on how interactions in networks are formed, developed and sustained. This study resulted in the identification of actors who play a role and their relationships in the formation and development of creative networks, quantification of the relationship of actor networks based on categories per phase and the role of actors in knowledge transfer in creative networks per phase. The results of the study can provide a precedent for the formation and development of rural creative economic practices through the dynamics of creative networks. text
