Torrefaction is usually conducted for biomass that contains lignocelluloses. In this research, torrefaction was implied in municipal solid waste components that contained lignocelluloses. Rice, orange peel, banana peel, branch and leaf are municipal solid waste components that modeled to represent the entire of municipal solid waste components. The problem in this research is municipal solid waste has variation in its properties so that every municipal solid waste components has different torrefaction characteristic. The differences will be observed by doing torrefaction batch experiment for each municipal solid waste component. Based on torrefaction characteristic that obtained by experiment of municipal solid waste components, designed-temperatur of simultaneous torrefaction will be approach by mathematics equation. From the analysis, obtained designed-temperatur is 285°C. Product of simultaneous batch torrefaction in 285°C equal with Subbituminus Coal with HHV5279-5828 kkal/kg text
