Summary: | Gait analysis has a board application in the field such as medical rehabilitation. In medical rehabilitation information about position and orientation of various joints of patient’s body are needed to determine abnormalities and also helping physician or therapist to monitor a patient’s response. Nowadays, there are many commercials human gait analysis software with expensive price. And it cause a lot of hospitals especially in Indonesia can’t have it. Hence, the research has a purpose to develop an optical measurement system from two sides of sagital plane. The system consists of two video cameras 90fps, LED assembly markers, PC, and technical computing software, which are used for capturing and processing the image. Markers are attached to body joints (hip, knee, ankle, heel, metatarsal) and then captured by two cameras which are located in two sides of sagital plane subject. The recorded images are then used an image binarization for detect markers, and track the markers position with least distance. The final result from this system is position of markers in real coordinate, which are used for further kinematics and kinetics human gait analyses [Buana, 2012]. |
