Summary:This project is a resort that takes place in Riung Tourism Region, in Ngada regency, Nusa Tenggara Timur. Government office of transportation, tourism, communication, and information, under tourism office would be the initiator of this project with helps from United Nation Development Programme (UNDP) and Community Futures as local foundation with a goal to develop a community-based tourism, as this project would increase sustain economy for local community from their participation on this developing tourism. This resort would have lodging function, with a cultural function as the form of community-based. This function is expect as a trigger to developing and introduction activity for local culture. Beside activity, introduction to local culture are introduce by design approach. This approach would be appoint the identity of this resort’s surrounding, which is adopting the shape of vernacular architecture. This resort build on a 73.800m2 land, the main buildings are four large masses including lobby, restaurant, office, spa, and back of the house building, also smaller masses such as 24 villas, bars, and service sheds. The number of the bedrooms differentiates type of villas; there are one-bedroom villas, two-bedroom villas, and three-bedroom villas. There are two kind of two-bedroom villas; these villas are differentiate by the number of the floor.
