Summary: | Organic Rankine cycle is one of the alternative generation technologies that
are being developed. This system required less heat than steam Rankine cycle and
also pressure and operating temperature for this system is lower. GE Clean
Cycle™ is one of the 125 kW ORC-based power plant. Meanwhile GE only
accomodate the generator, while for the heat source and the condensation are not
accommodated. Therefore, it needs to design heat and condensation.
Methods that will be used to meet the thermal requirements for this system
is a hot gas. Method 1 and 3 using the hot gas that will directly exchange heat with
the working fluid, while for method 2 using oil as a secondary fluid that takes the
heat from the hot gas and the next will exchange heat with the working fluid. As
for the condensing system, will use air-cooled heat exchangers.
For method 1 evaporator with a triangular arrangement of piping 22x28
pipes, pipe length of 2,8 m, an pipe outer diameter of 44,5 mm, for superhetaer
1x23 pipe, pipe length 1,98m, 42,4 mm diameter pipe. Method 2 oil heater with an
in-line arrangement 32x74 pipe, pipe 4 m long, 42,4 mm diameter pipe, and the
shell and tube evaporator with a shell diameter of 0,7 m, the number of pipe 30
pieces, pipe length 3,3 m, pipe diameter 25 mm. Method 3 tube evaporator
triangular arrangement 21x30 pipes, pipe length of 2,8 m, 42,4 mm diameter pipe.
Condenser with the design of in-line arrangement 22x44 square pieces of pipe,
pipe length 3 m, an outer diameter of 44,5 mm. |
