Summary:Machine tools, also known as mother of machine, is an essential tool in the production of a product. The existence of machine tools is very important if the desired product has high accuracy. To maintain the accuracy of machine tools, testing should be done on a regular basis. However, until now, the procedures which easily understood and used were not well composed yet, so that testing is often done only in a modest way or even not at all. In this final project, instruction for testing of three axis milling CNC machine is designed to facilitate technician in performing test. Instruction for testing is based on the source of errors that often occurs on machine tools, namely geometric error, static/dynamic load error, and thermal errors. In addition, the testing standards are also used as a reference in developing testing procedures. The result of this research is instruction of testing that are easily understood and performed by the technician based on ISO standards. The final result, not all the modules in this project made can be tested because of the limitations of the equipment. We hope this research can be tested and used as a useful reference material for the preparation of the next test instruction.
