| Summary: | Bandung has a lot of history especially about the nature changing process. The well known natural history of Bandung are about human settlement history, starts on the process of occuranece of Cekungan Bandung until the history of Bandung Lautan Api also about their flora and fauna. In South Bandung, precisely Tegalega Park, there is a monument about Bandung Lautan Api but unfortunately the citizen less interest to know and visit that monument. So, this Natural History Museum flet able to be a generator activities in South Bandung that function be an educational place, caring and safekeeping objects, also recreation place that serve with object display concept that can interest the visitor. Natural History Museum in Bandung has an area about 4640 m2 that located in Tegalega Park, Bandung, the park that planned for revitalitation project by Bandung Government on 2016 – 2017. There are some issues and main focus on the design planning about the museum project, there are:
Site issue, the museum is located in a GOS (Green Open Space) with a small building
coefficient and it has a historical monument that makes the mass of the museum should responds the context so not to be a contrast with the environtment.
Users issue, the museum should be a generator activities on South Bandung and a hub for the communities. |
