SBM ITB, as a business organization, and also the member of UN PRME, has the responsibility to establish every single points in UN SDGs, including the gender equality. The aim of this article is to identify the implementation of the gender equality inside the human resource policy of SBM ITB in these context: recruitment and selection, performance evaluation, and retiremen scheme. Rapid Etnoghrapy and Spradley Method is used to analyzing this study. The research was done by doing several interviews with the key informants that directly related with the making of human resource policy in SBM ITB. This study found out that in SBM ITB, the issue about gender equality is already established in the form of values from both ITB and SBM ITB, which in this context, taking the role as the ground in making the human resource policies. The implementation of the human resource policies is referring to the value, which makes the gender equality is implicitly established in the HR practices. SBM ITB also did not considering gender issue in terms of undertake the recruitment and selection, performance evaluation, and also the retirement scheme. The organization is aiming for giving equal opportunity and eliminating the gender gap that possibly exist. SBM ITB interpreting gender equality as an equality and emancipation that did not forget between man and woman, there is a difference exist based on their nature. This article will serve the reader about an insight to help them in understanding the complexity of gender equality issue in the context of a human resource policy and its implementation towards organizational practices in a school of business management. text |
