INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/41251 Delay time of project completion is a thing that must be avoided by a company to fulfil customer satisfaction. From 24 project that valued over 1 billion rupiahs, 15 projects handled by PT.ANXX experienced delays up to 234 days (15,6 days on average). Because of the delay, PT.ANXX suffers a penalty at least 468 million rupiahs (31,2 million rupiahs on average) which must be paid to the employer. A number that could be allocated to fund another company cost structure considering PT.ANXX is just a small company. Delay time of project completion can be caused by many factors; internal factors or external factors. By using the Current Reality Tree method, it is found that delay time project completion at PT.ANXX is caused by 4 (four) factors which are, Poor Inventory management/system, Lack of skill, Lack of manpower when the workload is high, and Poor coordination/communication awareness. Four business alternative solution is presented to counteract the root cause factor of the business issue. Reorder point and safety stock calculation to counteract poor inventory system factor (to reduce possibility of stock outs that would lead to delay because of lead time when ordering material), Mentor/knowledge sharing to counteract Lack of skill factor, Outsourcing or per project contract to counteract Lack of manpower factor, and building open information bulletin board to counteract and Poor coordination/communication awareness factor. From the five business solution alternative, it is expected to reduce delay time of project completion up to 62,5% - 87,5% from 15,6 ? 16 days on average (equal to 10-14 days) to be just 2 – 6 days. The reduction time of delay project completion would led to a decreasing penalty from 31,2 million rupiahs to be just 4 – 12 million rupiahs. text
