Summary: | PT Solarens Ledindo is a manufacturing company engaged in the assembly of led luminaire lamps in Indonesia. The growing business in the field of led luminaire lamps is supported by the policy of the central government to switch to using energy saving lamps. This makes PT Solarens Ledindo required to continue to innovate their products by improving quality and at competitive prices in order to remain competitive in this industry. So that in order to stay competitive in business, good company management is needed. However, until now, PT Solarens Ledindo still does not have a clear and directed performance management system.
Thus, this study aims to propose business solutions by designing a performance management system for PT Solarens so that the company has a vision and mission, strategies and performance indicators that are aligned with each other. The qualitative method was used in this study by conducting interviews involving company owners as well as directors of managers and staff in every division in the company so they can understand the problem and provide the right solution. The balanced scorecard framework is used as a corporate performance management system. Then external and internal analysis is carried out as important factors that will be used in the application of the balanced scorecard.
A performance management system that is designed must encourage companies to improve effective performance measurement. The design of a performance management system encompasses financial and non-financial activities starting with establishing strategies (corporate, business and operational level strategies) to be carried out by the company based on the vision and mission. Then each of these strategies will be developed into a performance indicator to measure whether the strategy is achieved or not yet achieved. After determining the key performance indicators, weighting is carried out to obtain performance indicators that are the company's priority in conducting its business.
The results of this study generate a growth strategy as a corporate strategy, then cost leadership as a business level strategy and fourteen objective strategies. The weighting results found that the perspective of internal processes as a company priority, net profit growth, the level of business agreements, product quality and the level of employee discipline as the top four indicators are company priorities. Then the final stage of this research is implementing a performance management system at PT Solarens Ledindo. |
