Almost 95 % of machine components is manufactured by machining process to previous manufacturing processes ( casting, metal forming, and powder metalurgi process). The development of manufacturing industry strongly determined by mastering of machining process, whereas to master it, beside theory on the class, it is needed an observation in machining process in laboratorium to find out the correlation of cutting forces with cutting parameters so that can be determined the conditions of machining process which economic and efficient result, so can be made the competitive products. Not all of the university especially machining department do practical research of machining process, the reason is it does not have practical equipments especially dynamometer to measure cutting forces and to determine the reference specific cutting force of various materials of the workpiece. The reason is that the dynamometer should be procured by import and so it is relatively expensive. To reduce the cost I want to make one of the importance equipment of machining process laboratorium that is spindle dynamometer by my self in order to get its price relatively cheaper and its components are available in local market. Considering related to that I synchronize the topic of my thesis with that goal, it is “ Design and Manufacturing of RF Data Transmission Spindle Dynamometer”. The Scope of Activities of Design and Manufacturing of RF Data Transmission Spindle Dynamometer involve the job of design and manufacturing Tool Holder, determine of type of strain gages and form them to be Wheatstone bride circuit, determine the placement and orientation of strain gages on the elastic part on dynamometer, design and manufacturing amplifier circuit, ADC, Transmitter and Receiver, and to make and development of software for activating the modul ADC, USART in ATmega8 micro controller, Transmitter and Receiver, and data acquisition program using C++ Builder, Dynamometer calibration to get sensitivity of dynamometer and experimental test to manufactured dynamometer. text
