description |
The resultant of excitation vibration force will be accumulated on the
bearing. The variation of static load will result different amplitude of localized
bearing defect frequency. The vibration characteristic due to static load could be
summarized by knowing its differences. This study is aimed to acknowledge the
cylindrical bearing vibration characteristic due to static load. It will be focused on
overall vibration level (OVL), 1XRPM and its harmonic, and the amplitude of
localized bearing defect frequency.
Power spectrum and spectral map measurement is done to accomplish this
study. FRF of the structure is evaluated to verify Pande’s work. It is also
interested to know the relationship between FRF and power spectrum so that
another FRF test with several configuration of static load at bearing housing is
completed.
The result of power spectrum shows that the bearing specimen has outer
race defect. The position of the defect is estimated on the vertical orientation.
Amplitude of BPFO signal is modulated by 1XRPM signal, so do its harmonics.
Harmonic of BPFO and 1XRPM amplitude is responding the given static load.
Based on the spectral map, it is concluded that the 1XRPM signal is not come
from unbalance phenomenon. Another conclusion is the value of overall RMS
increases as the rotational speed runs higher. It could be happened because the
increasing of the floor noise signal. |
