Aside from the truck’s dimensions, dust is also an important factor which limits operators’ view to its external environment. These factors makes it difficult for operators and possible to create collision accidents which creates problem for the mining business. Therefore, a system is needed that can acquire external information and presenting the information in a visual interface to be seen by operator. This system is expected to increase the safety of small vehicles and the dump trucks itself in doing convoi. This solution have several subsystems such as: sensing, main processing, visual interface, storage, and power management. This final assignment will discuss further in the subsystem processing, user interface subsystem, and storage subsystem. These main processing acquire data from the sensing subsystem first. Then the data will be processed by main processing unit by comparing the information to the safe following distance threshold and blind spot. Then, data is displayed on a visual interface in the form of image and text information. Data is also stored in a file to show the driving log in order to find out the behavior of the driver and help investigate the cause of the accident. text |
