They produced by using cold forming process, which required dies. Factors having an effect in design dies are clearance between punching and dies, dimension of punch and dies and speed of punch when operate. If imprecise clearance between punch and dies is used, it will make the product that produce are not in the range of geometry specification of the desired. Products that produce not in standard will cause difficulty in assembling. Dimension determination in punch and dies very has an effect to product dimension. For product in the form of hole which result of process piercing, dimension punch closer to hole dimension, while for the external side product which result of process blanking, dimension dies closer to product dimension. In this research, it studied about how to design dies so the product that produced will be in the range of geometry specification of the desired. From cam chain dies type OLP 25H, the variability product that produces will be known. This data compared to reference of the book and so we can decided the clearance that must be we use. After we got drawing from every component of tooth plate dies, we can make G code using master cam software to simulate how to manufacturing. This G code needed to machine NC as data input. Case study in this research has taken in PT FSCM Manufacturing Indonesia. This factory has succeeded to develop manufacturing process for the pin component, while for component of tooth plate still failure. Product of tooth plate produces from dies design of PT FSCM Manufacturing Indonesia at some component still be handicapped and dimension of product that produce do not enter in standard which have been determined. text
