Summary: | The civil telecommunications networks currently has a throughput in the Gbps
range. But the progress of the databus in the military lagged behind that of civilian
telecommunications. Avionics buses in the military still use MIL-STD-1553 which
was developed around 40 years ago and still operates at a 1Mbps data rate. The next
generation military avionics network has a good transmission speed of Gbps. This
is because different design criteria are applied to civil and military
telecommunications applications. In civil technology requires high transmission
speeds and a broad system to support multimedia communication services. In
military telecommunications a special designs are needed that ensures reliability
and a long service life for the avionics database.
In the aviation industry, there are not many changes in electronic equipment of civil
and military transport aircraft, so the technology used is still lagging behind the
technology of military fighter or civilian technology. The databus technology used
still uses analog, digital, RS232 and ARINC429. So that cooperation between
Indonesia and Korea in the manufacture of fighter aircraft requires us to catch up.
The process of this research consists of literatur study, data collection, preparation
of simulation scenarios that include data flow Bus Controller in Remote Terminal,
Remote Terminal on Bus Controller and Remote Terminal on Remote Terminal.
The prepared scenario was simulated using Avionics Development System 2nd
Generation (ADS2) software.
The parameter of the success of data communication refers to the repoRemote
Terminal produced by ADS2, namely word error when a simulation is being run.
This is related to the research and development of data communication failures
between the Bus Controller and the remote terminal that will be used on military
fighter aircraft
