| Summary: | Tremendous development in information technology makes digital identity more widely used and cover almost all aspects in human life. However with the increasing use of digital identities, security threats and vulnerabilities to data and information of identity owners are getting higher, especially in the e-commerce sector. There were 16.7 million victims of identity-related crimes in 2018 with a total loss of 16.8 billion dollars in USA. Therefore, a security solution is needed to provide confidentiality, availability, integrity and privacy of ecommerce user data. This research come to answers the challenge of providing a security solution for ecommerce user data, that is represented in the development of a blockchain-based Identity as a Service (IDaaS) system. The system was built using the Hyperledger Fabric framework by adding automatic destruction and one-time transaction features to avoid disclosure of data which is expected to provide better security and privacy guarantees for e-commerce users. The results of the security test show that the IDaaS system has met 80% of the security requirements according to the MASVS OWASP standard. It can also provide data privacy for e-commerce user from abuse by the level of service providers as an improvement from previous research. |
