INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/41748 Indonesia is a country that has many volcanoes in it. Volcanoes have great benefits for Indonesia, so basic information about volcanoes in Indonesia is important to know. One of the important information is the subsurface structure of the volcano area. Geophysical methods can be used to find out this information. This study aims to predict the subsurface structure of the Papandayan volcano using the gravity method. Through this method, gravity acceleration data will be analyzed to interpret the subsurface structures, such as geometry, depth, and rock types constructing this subsurface structure. Data acquisition performed using LaCoste & Romberg type G-928 gravimeter. Regional and residual anomalies are separated from the Bouguer anomaly data using the moving average method. The Bouguer anomalies ranged from 157 to 168,5 mGal. The regional anomalies ranged from 158,6 to 164,2 mGal and residual anomalies ranged from -1,8 to 4 mGal. Subsurface structure produced from the model consisted of three rock types. Andesite with density value of 2,40 ????????/????????3, clay with density value ranged from 1,67 to 2,07 ????????/????????3, basalt with density value of 3,27 ????????/????????3, and basaltic andesite with density ranged from 2,70 to 3,00 ????????/????????3. The misfit of the model is 9,33. text
