Description
Summary:In using parking services, parking access becomes an important part of vehicle users. Parking service managements still use conventional verification utilizing paper ticket added with manual vehicle identity verification by the operator. This causes a low access speed and poor vehicle safety in a parking system. In this final report, a product is made that will speed up parking access time and increase parking security. The SIP (Smart Integrated Parking) is an embedded system that can do double verification. Verification is based on the driver's identity using RFID technology parking identity cards. While verification for vehicles is done by capturing images via webcam and vehicle number plate recognition using ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition). This product is made using the Raspberry Pi 3 environment with the Python programming language as a processing center that is connected with a historical storage database for parking access. The results obtained from system testing show an increase in the quality of the existing system and already meet the desired product specifications. The success rate of number plate recognition with ANPR is 96.1% (for ideal image capture), while overall system integration reaches 92.9%. Parking access time based on experiments is 4.237 seconds and 4.445 seconds respectively for access to the entrance gate and exit gate access.
