Woven pandanus began to be developed by the people of Kampung Sukaruas into fashion products and household appliances. However, the potential of the community in processing pandan fibers into fashion products has not been developed, has not been able to attract market attention, and has not increased economic value. In recent years, the community that originally relied on weaving, began to turn to other professions. The majority of weaving sellers has a stagnant situation in their sales, and even some factories that produce woven pandanus have been closed and are starting to switch to livestock. This shows, the tradition of woven pandanus in Rajapolah gradually leads to the threshold of extinction. The decline in the existence of woven pandanus is due to the lack of design innovations that are in line with the times. The research phase begins with conducting field studies in Sukaruas Rajapolah Village, identifying potential human resources in Sukaruas Village, conducting studies on processing and staining of pandan fibers, conducting experiments on coloring processes, making experiments on the structure of woven pandanus, and testing the target market for product sales which are made. The purpose of this study is revitalizazion by color processing and structure of woven pandanus experiments, as well as developing fashion product designs through experimental results that can increase market interest and the selling value of these products. In the end, the design development activities carried out could have an impact on the community empowerment of Kampung Sukaruas in producing woven pandanus products. The method used is a quantitative and descriptive mixed qualitative approach through experimental methods and participatory approaches. Data collection techniques were carried out, among others, through field observations, interviews with related sources, literature studies, and questionnaires. The results of the study is revitalizazion can improve the improvement of consumer interest which has an impact on financial improvement in Sukaruas Village. text |
