Description
Summary:Primary energy consumption in Indonesia is dominated by fossil fuel. Fossil fuel, one of which most commonly used, is crude oil. Because of the highest consumption of crude oil and relatively increasing every year, a lot of oil and gas company are necessary. One of the crude oil processes is a separation of water and gas from the crude. Oil and gas processing component used to separate water and gas is pressure vessel known as three phase separator. Because pressure vessel will contain water, it’s possible for pressure vessel to have several corrosion. A corroded pressure vessels used in oil and gas company will be anlayzed in this final project. The stages of analysis are included assessment of corroded pressure vessel, calculation of remaining life and recommendation of remediation method. Assessment and remaining life calculation of pressure vessel will be done based on ASME FFS-1, where the assessment is accomplished by level 1, 2 and 3. Remediation method based on ASME FFS-1 and ASME PCC-2. Based on analysis outcome, pressure vessel doesn’t meet the requirement in level 1 adn 2 but fulfiling the requirement in level 3. Pressure vessel is predicted to be normally operated for the next one year. Recommended repair methods for corroded pressure vessel that had been analyzed, are coating for temporary repair and insert plate for permanent repair.
