Summary: | The weakening physical condition causes the elderly to be vulnerable to health threats that can be fatal if prevention is not carried out. Therefore, it is necessary to fulfill health services for the elderly who prioritize prevention of health threats by applying ICT. In this final project, the application of ICT for the fulfillment of elderly health services is made, namely the AAL System (Ambient Assisted Living) which focuses on several problems in the elderly, namely reduced memory, falls, and less active movement. Reduced memory can cause the elderly to forget to use a smartwatch so that the family cannot monitor their condition. Whereas active inactivity caused by sitting for too long can reduce the health condition of the elderly in the long run. Therefore, in this final assignment the author designed and implemented the VF (Virtual Fence) and Exercise Reminder features. The virtual fence feature aims to remind the elderly to use a smartwatch when they leave the house. While a reminder exercise to invite the elderly to move actively when sitting too long. The research method used is the study of literature, design of features, and implementation and testing of the performance of these features. Based on design and implementation, the virtual fence feature consists of two programs, namely the presence of elderly detection program and warning program to remind the elderly to use a smartwatch when they leave the house successfully made with a five-second warning time after the elderly are not detected at home. While the exercise reminder feature to invite the elderly to move actively after sitting too long has been made successfully by taking data on sitting conditions based on resting heartrate, which is 60-80 BPM, four minutes of gymnastic videos automatically appear after the elderly are detected sitting for 30 minutes. |
