Description
Summary:The problem of drainage which are in cities large in Indonesia is very important to note because the frequent occurrence of flood or inundation of water season rain . Development that continues to increase in the city of Bandung resulted in increased surface water flow and reduce water that seeps into the ground. Drainage capacity during the rainy season produces maximum rainfall intensity in some locations is no longer able to accommodate the maximum water discharge. The drainage condition of Pagarsih Street which still uses mixed drainage (rain water + wastewater) which is directly flowed into the river, caused by the building so that it is unable to accommodate the flow of rain water. During heavy rains, the rain puddles that occurs around mixed drainage as high as 30-100 cm. In this study, a study will be conducted to separate drainage and waste water channels, based on Permen No.12/PRT/M/2014 article 4 paragraph 1 "the implementation of the urban drainage system follows the drainage system and sewerage network separation systems in urban areas. To get recommendations on steps to separate wastewater from efficient mixed channels. The method of data collection is done studying literature on urban drainage, a survey method regarding field conditions to find out the actual conditions and conducting data collection with relevant agencies to support the completeness of the calculation data. The result of the research questionnaire show that indicate the existence of a puddle or flood on Jalan Pagarsih at STA 0 + 661.2 s.d STA 0 + 700 in the 2022 projection year with a water level of 22.3 cm. The amount of discharge from wastewater from rainfall in the projected year 2022 that can be accommodated by north drainage is = 3,522 m3/sec while the total incoming rainfall is equal to 5,414 m3/sec. The discharge resulted in a high pool of water of 22.2 cm. In the southern drainage it can hold a debit of = 39,032 m3/sec while the incoming rainfall discharge is = 2,148 m3/sec. Maximum total peak discharge accommodated by secondary waste water channel at Jalan Pagarsih STA 0 + 661.2 s.d. STA 0 + 700 is 0.083 m3/second higher than what can be accommodated by the cross section of the sewerage channel itself by 0.03088 m3/sec. The conclusion from this study is the drainage cross section of the southern Pagarsih Street can still accommodate the peak discharge of incoming rainfall but at the outlet point of the north drainage section it is unable to accommodate the peak rainfall flow that enters for the 2022 projection year. Inundation or flooding that occurs in the area around the north drainage cross section outlet point is due to the large amount of incoming rainfall, not due to additional discharge from domestic and non-domestic wastewater. The cross section of the secondary wastewater channel currently used with a size of 300 mm is insufficient to accommodate the total peak discharge of the entire wastewater in the catchment area for the projected year 2022, therefore the cross section of the secondary wastewater channel needs to be enlarged using a concrete buis cross section of 500mm. Socialization needs to be given to all residents in the catchment area so that they can work together with the government to dispose of wastewater directly through the available wastewater. It is necessary to conduct surveillance activities on the north and south drainage channels on Pagarsih street so that no residents will pollute the open drainage channels. Periodic monitoring activities are needed to check the condition of secondary and tertiary wastewater pipelines to avoid damage such as leakage and rupture
