Summary: | Indonesia is a country with a majority population of Muslims and a country with rapid population growth. This situation lies behind the great need for a mosque as a place of worship for Muslims, especially in Palembang city. Being one of the hosts of Asian Games is the factor that lies the great needs of mosque that can facilitate the needs of worship and a religion center for locals and foreigners. Sriwijaya Great Mosque, Jakabaring, Palembang will be built with the height of 24 meters. This structure consists of 3 stories and 1 story for steel roof frame. The foundation for the mosque uses bored pile with a diameter of 800 mm with a depth of 40 meters below ground level. The procedure uses LPILE and GROUP PILE software to determine the capacity of the bored pile, both single and group pile, to support the structure above the ground. In addition, a pile cap is also designed, which holds the piles into a group. There are three types of group piles configuration, 2 x 2 configuration, 3 x 2 configuration, and 2 x 4 configuration. By designing every part of the foundation, the mosque will facilitate the people’s needs of worship (both locals and foreigners) in Jakabaring, Palembang safely.
