Summary: | Modes of transportation in Jakarta have been growing, especially in Dukuh Atas area, which is the
transit point for transportation modes. The types of public transportation in this region are
TransJakarta, KRL, and Airport Railway, with MRT and 2 LRT corridors on progress, and also online
transportation that has been popular nowadays. Therefore, there is a need for transit facilities that
can simultaneously meet the needs of passengers of various modes of transportation. This transit
facility accommodates overall human movement and is expected to reduce vehicle density in Dukuh
Atas area. This final assignment report contains an explanation of the design that has been made. The
proposed building as mixed-functions, which are commercial and office and located in transit oriented
development (TOD) area. This building is located in a 6.200 m2 site in Dukuh Atas, close to Sudirman
Business area. The site is owned by PT. MRT Jakarta, which is also the owner of this project. The main
purpose of this design is to accommodate the needs of all users in this area. This building will
accommodate commercial and office areas. From the results of the analysis, the three main issues in
the design of this project are inclusivity, connectivity, and building image. As a public facility, this design
must facilitate everyone with every type of conditions and needs. From these issues, the basic concepts
of the design are "Building as Public Space" and "Connecting the Lost Connections". "Building as a
Public Space" presents the concept where the spaces designed have as many public areas as possible.
"Connecting the Lost Connection" is implemented in the form of the building that connects with the
public transportation around it, such as Dukuh Atas MRT Station, Sudirman KRL Station, TransJakarta,
and other online transportations. |
