Summary: | Alternatif Cibubur Road is a road with a high level of density. Commuters who
travel to the downtown area are dominated by private vehicle. The presence of the
LRT which is close to the Alternatif Cibubur road raises the question can
commuters switch to the LRT mode? To be able to move large numbers of
passengers to the LRT mode requires an understanding of commuter behavior in
its daily mode. The purpose of this study is to examine the potential for transfer to
LRT mode based on the characteristics of commuter actors and commuter trips
from the Cibubur residential area to the destinations.
To achieve the research objective, a survey of 250 commuters living in four
residence along the Alternatif Cibubur road. The survey was conducted using a
stated preference technique. The survey results were analyzed using the total
travel cost analysis method and binary logistic regression analysis. Based on the
results of a study of travel cost analysis it is known that public transportation
modes (Bus and Paratransit) are the modes with the highest total travel costs
compared to LRT and Private Vehicles (Cars and Motorcycles). The results of
modeling using logistic regression obtained the equation = -0,069 -
3,607 X8 – 0,000017 X10 + 5,952 X11d where the influencing variables are
income below Rp. 5 million per month, average daily transportation costs and
travel destinations in the Kuningan CBD. The probability of willingness of
commuters to switch to LRT is 62.51%.
