Depok City is a city that has the potential to develop the creative economy. The contribution of the creative economy to gross regional domestic product (GRDP) was 10.6%. The biggest contribution was from fashion, which was 0.3%, handicraft 29.60%, and culinary amounted to 7.05%. Of the 16 creative economy sectors that have been developed, it has absorbed 9.13% of the total workers in Depok City.
Activities that need to be carried out to advance the creative industries, especially in the City of Depok, include introducing creative works to the public so that the community is interested in learning, and providing training to people who want to learn or to communities who want to further develop their industries. To facilitate these activities, public facilities need to be held in the form of Creative Hubs to explore the potential that exists in the City of Depok and make existing industries grow. |
