Summary: | The design of the School is located on Jalan P.H. Mustofa, Bandung, which has an area of around 24,000 m2 or 2.4 hectares. This school was initiated by the Social Foundation, Tangan Pengharapan Foundation. The purpose of designing this school is to improve the welfare of the Indonesian people through the education aspect and to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. This school is designed with an Active-Learning system and the quality of education with international standards. This school is included in the typology of formal education facilities and the national plus school category. This school can accommodate 900 students for junior and senior high school with a capacity of 24-30 students/study groups. This school is intended for all people in Indonesia to provide dormitory facilities for students from outside the city. The design of this school raised the concept of "School as a place of collaboration and exploration of students" because school is not only a means of education that can develop the ability of students academically (formally) but can be non-academic (informal) and schools can also improve social networks (social network) for students through informal interactions. This concept is derived from the process of synthesizing 3 issues, namely the issue of developing students' character and abilities, the issue of social interaction, and the issue of the building image. This concept also includes the design of open spaces as a place of interaction for students, classrooms that are flexible in adjusting learning methods, affordable access for all building users, activities spaces that can develop the abilities of students and there is an educational park as a learning tool for active students. The design of this school includes the design of the site, the design of the junior and senior high school buildings, the activity building and supporting facilities, and the dormitory building. |
