The increasing population at Pejompongan 2 WTP service area causes the water demand which needs to be provided to increase. From water demand projection at the service area, it’s estimated that Pejompongan 2 WTP needs to supply 4,700 lps of clean water at 2029 and 5,850 lps of clean water at 2039. The uprating period for Pejompongan 2 WTP is planned for 10 years. The sampling for clean water qualities at Pejompongan 2 WTP proved that the existing process can treat the raw water to meet the standard for clean water from PerMenKes No. 492 year 2010. There are three alternative designs that can be suggested for uprating. One is existing units modification and new units addition. Two is new units addition without existing units modification. Three is switching the existing technology into membrane technology. Using SAW (Simple Additive Weight) method, the chosen alternative is alternative 1, which is existing units modification and new units addition if needed. Design evaluation for existing units is done with the existing and uprated flowrate. Some of the units didn’t meet the design criteria that had been designated. To meet the design criteria, some modifications are needed. Modification that would be done are widening one of the presedimentation basin by changing the width from 9 m to 13,5 m, and adding lamella settler to all pulsator units. Addition of two belt filter press units to treat the produced sludge is also needed. text
