Batununggal Indah Modern Market is located on Jalan Batununggal Indah II, Mengger, Kidul Bandung, Bandung City, West Java. Batununggal Indah Modern Market has a land area of 32,000 m2 with a building area of 1,700 m2. There are 201 active traders in Batununggal Indah Modern Market, consisting of 45 shophouses, 46 stalls, and 110 stalls. In addition, the average daily number of visitors to the Batununggal Indah Market was 948 people. As one of the markets in the high economic housing area, Batununggal Indah Modern Market is a source of waste. However, until now, waste processing from the source has not been done at the Modern Batununggal Indah Market. Organic waste that has been processed by composting by the market is not going well, while for some inorganic waste has been sold to third parties, the rest of the waste is disposed of directly to Sarimukti Final Disposal Site (TPA) which is transported once a week and causes odor problems at the Market TPS . In addition, the impacts caused include garbage scattered outside the tub and rodent disturbance. This is also not good for health, especially the location of polling stations close to slaughterhouses in the market. Considering these conditions, efforts to design a waste management system in Batununggal Indah Modern Market with the construction of a 3R TPS accompanied by a management system planning are initial sorting at the source, with the provision of communal bins per cluster, the waste is divided into organic waste, inorganic waste, other waste, garbage Hazardous and Toxic Materials (B3), and coconut waste that are specifically placed for clusters of lapak traders. Further processing systems at the 3R TPS are planning the waste reception system, waste sorting system, organic waste treatment system, inorganic waste handling system, coconut waste handling system, and residue handling system. Sorting is done manually by workers numbering 1 person to sort organic waste into compostable organic and non-compostable organics and 2 more people to sort inorganic waste into plastic polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic bottles, polypropylene (PP) plastic cups, paper, and cardboard boxes. . Compostable organic waste that is sorted is processed by composting the aerated static pile method using a bamboo aerator. Based on the planning until the operational time of the TPS, which is until 2031, the generation of waste entering the 3R TPS is 846.59 kg / day with the predominantly inorganic waste. In planning, use scenario 3 is an optimistic system where there is an increase in resource minimization from 2% in the initial year of planning to 8% in the final year of planning. So that the total generation that entered the TPS 3R Batununggal Indah Modern Market became 789.2 kg / day. Organic waste that is processed into compost is 326,704 kg / day, while inorganic waste that can be sold and provides added value for 3R TPS is 153.5 kg / day. In addition, coconut waste is processed into coconut fiber as much as 169.44 kg / day. Thus, the residual generation generated and transported to the landfill is only 128.03 kg / day. Cost calculation analysis is performed using the Net Present Value method. The NPV value obtained in the Modern Market TPS 3R plan by calculating the cost of the existing retribution is a positive value of + Rp. 917,039,874.00 which indicates the Modern Market TPS 3R is economically feasible and able to reduce the cost of the existing market merchant fees. In addition, this project was able to overcome the environmental and health problems caused by the previous TPS, which is in line with the goal of the 3R TPS development, which is to reduce the amount of waste that must be disposed of to the landfill in order to extend the life of the landfill service. |
