H. Djuanda and Jalan Buahbatu. This activity takes place on weekends on Sunday at 06.00 - 10.00 WIB. Over time this activity proved to have a negative effect on the other side, congestion arose during the implementation of Car Free Day activities, especially in road segments around the location due to motor vehicles looking for alternative ways to avoid road closures by the city of Bandung. The existence of this activity becomes a new attraction area so that change activity of movement pattern of Bandung city at weekend. Another impact some visitors who came turned out to use a private vehicle and parked his car in the streets around the location of Car Free Day. This study aims to evaluate the condition of the implementation of CFD activities using the concept of transportation modeling system, by looking at the performance of the road network that is located around the affected area due to the activity of this Motor Vehicle Free Day. By using the software tool SATURN is able to model the existing condition of network performance at the time of the CFD activity and the scenario of impact handling resulting from the activity. The results of the analysis show that there is a decrease of network performance when Dago CFD is being implemented that its VCR value is average to 1.04 and its speed becomes 38 km / hour. While at the location of CFD Buahbatu its performance changed to its average VCR of 0.41 and the average speed to 40 km / hour. Based on the modeling results in an effort to minimize the impact of the existence of CFD activities in the city of Bandung is to apply a combined scenario that is by conducting traffic engineering system, changes in green time and phase in the intersection and increase the capacity of the segment through the parking ban using the road (on street parking). It is able to improve network performance and accessibility to critical points around the affected locations during CFD activities in Bandung. text |
