The hospital is located at Jalan Ambengan which has the land area of 2603m2. The hospital type designed for this project is Type C hospital with 60 beds and the main targeted user is the general public. Building Coverage Ratio that is implemented on the site is 50% and the Floor Coverage Ratio is 3.5. The hospital will consist of a single building with six floors. Aside from general public, the users will also be composed of middle-class and lower-class economy societies, notably those who live near the hospital and those who get referrals from clinics that operated under GKI Sinode Wilayah Jawa Timur's churches. The main issues of this project are the image, Eco-City and the site. The building's design is embodying Gereja Kristen Indonesia's image in its interior and exterior appearances and implementing Eco-City's concept that is carried and requested by Surabaya's government. The concept carried for this project is healing environment which also integrate the concept of green building in it. Healing environment is a concept to create an environment, either physical or non physical, for recovering and healing based on visual and environmental aspect mainly on the inside part of hospital. Healing environment concept in this project is implemented on building's interior and exterior as the main place of human activities. text
